Science is changing everything—from public policy and business to education and communications to the visual and performing arts. At Skidmore, interest in science is booming. A third of our students now major in the sciences, and 40 percent of our tenure-line faculty teach in the sciences. Skidmore’s first Science Summit will be held on Saturday, October 24, from 9:00 to 3:00. Faculty, students, alumni, parents, and friends are invited to engage in a deep dialogue about the importance of science in an increasingly interconnected world. The day will begin with a keynote by Dr. Cynthia Green (Dr. Green), one of the foremost contemporary experts on memory and brain health. After that, we’ll introduce two panels of accomplished alumni who will focus on, (1) the future of medicine, and (2) science and entrepreneurship. More information below.
